A Carnival sailing departing from Miami was delayed by roughly 24 hours after crews identified a mechanical issue during routine pre-departure checks.
Carnival says the ship remained dockside while engineers completed repairs, and all guests were offered onboard credit and a complimentary meal voucher for the inconvenience. The line emphasized that safety inspections are standard procedure and that the delay was precautionary.
The ship has since departed and is expected to make up lost port time by skipping one scheduled stop.
